Arizona leads UCONN 30-23 at halftime

Arizona Men’s basketball leads University of Connecticut 30-23 Thursday at halftime in what was a sloppy first half for both teams at the Mckale Center.

Both teams struggled to take care of the ball, Arizona turned it over eight time and UCONN turned it over 11 times in the first half. The referees also called a questionable offensive foul on Allonzo Trier as he went for a breakaway dunk in the first half. Head coach Sean Miller along with the rest of Mckale Center expressed their opposition to the call.

Trier started for the Wildcats, had six points and played 19 minutes after suffering a bone bruise during Arizona’s last game against North Dakota University when Trier fell to the ground after colliding knees with NDSU guard Paul Miller.
