Arizona Wildcats star guard Aari McDonald will miss Friday’s game at Utah due to a lower leg injury. The UA is officially calling her day-to-day and it is hoped she can return Sunday at Colorado.
Freshman guard Helena Pueyo is starting in McDonald’s place, though she will be impossible to replace. McDonald, eighth in the country in scoring, has eclipsed double figures in 62-straight games, the longest active streak in the nation, and also sets the tone defensively, leading the Pac-12 in steals.
Still, the Wildcats might be able to get by without her.
