Arizona Wildcats fans will have to wait a little longer to get their first glimpse at Omar Thielemans.
The freshman will not be participating in Sunday’s Red-Blue Game for personal reasons, the UA announced before tip-off.
The 6-foot-7 Belgian was one of three members of UA’s 2018 recruiting class. 247Sports rated him as a low four-star prospect.
Thielemans is not expected to have a major role this season.
“Omar is a great kid and he’s really in a transition from FIBA basketball and playing in Europe to college basketball at a high level,” UA head coach Sean Miller said at media day.
