Turns out the Arizona Wildcats won’t get one last chance to either end, or extend, their program-record losing streak.
The Pac-12 announced Sunday night that the Dec. 19 matchup between Arizona and the California Golden Bears in Berkeley, Calif., which had just been scheduled earlier that day, has been cancelled. Per the conference, both teams don’t have the minimum number of scholarship players available for the matchup.
Arizona (0-5) has been massively shorthanded for its past two games, home losses to Colorado and ASU, while Cal (1-3) had its last game at Washington State canceled two hours before kickoff because a player on the team bus tested positive for COVID-19.
