Arizona football to stop performing Haka dance

Arizona didn't just lose Saturday's game against UCLA, but it also lost a pregame ritual.

The Wildcats attracted negative attention after they performed the Haka dance before their game against the Bruins. The Haka is an ancestral war dance by the Maori people and made famous in sports by New Zealand's All Blacks rugby and basketball teams.

ESPN on ABC's college football broadcast focused in on Arizona's Haka dance, which put the ritual on display for a much larger audience than a typical Arizona game. The Wildcats had performed the Haka before games since 2009, but that is going to end.
