The Arizona Wildcats practiced in shoulder pads for the first time this training camp Friday night, going for about two hours at Arizona Stadium.
Their workout was delayed nearly 40 minutes because of lightning in the area, but they were eventually able to get their work in.
"The intensity was pretty good," coach Rich Rodriguez said. "I think the guys learned how to practice. I thought they practiced pretty well, so I’ll probably take a few minutes off tomorrow’s."
Of course, the big topic of the night wasn't how the Wildcats looked in half pads for the first time, it was RichRod's appearance in a UA-released music video.
