RENO, Nevada — As the Arizona Wildcats prepared for their 2015 season, walk-on redshirt freshman linebacker Tre Tyler wasn’t envisioning a very big role for himself.
“I would dream about going in for a series or two,” Tyler said.
Boy, did he undersell himself.
Tyler saw extended action at middle linebacker in the UA’s 44-20 win over Nevada on Saturday night with the UA’s linebackers dealing with several significant injuries.
After losing All-American Scooby Wright for a month against UTSA, the UA saw another middle linebacker go down Saturday against Nevada.
