Center Carter Wood, who was the early favorite to win the starting job for the Arizona Wildcats, is likely out for the season with a chronic foot injury.
Wood has missed the past two days of practice and when we asked him about it following Saturday's night practice, he said Wood's career may be over.
"It doesn't look like Carter is going to be able to play at all," Rodriguez said. "Carter, I don't know if he can play at all this season. I feel bad for him. Right now, it doesn't look good."
With Wood out the past two days, Cayman Bundage, the UA's starting left guard the past two seasons, has moved over to center.
