After a stellar career, while attending Class 3A Auburn Mountainview High School (Auburn, WA), Robertson comes in rated as a three-star safety. He is rated 2nd overall for his position in the State of Washington, and is also considered the 80th best Safety overall in the Class of 2016.
Robertson had committed to the Wildcats back in July and had been committed since. He picked Arizona, despite having offers from; New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho and Hawaii among others.
