California high school linebacker Jacob Colacion committed to the Arizona Wildcats late Tuesday night.
Colacion, rated as a three-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com, is listed at 6-feet-1-inch and 215 pounds. He also had offers from Boise State, Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Washington State, San Diego State, Wyoming and others.
The linebacker is the eighth member of the UA's 2016 class. Six of the eight commits are from California. Colacion is a La Habra High School product.
Colacion is the second player to commit to Arizona this month. Defensive lineman Jabari Watson committed on July 1.
