Rawle Alkins missed the game with a sore foot, but Arizona men’s basketball picked up a 79-58 road win over Cal Wednesday behind a team effort at the Haas Pavilion.
The win improves No. 14 Arizona to 15-4 and 5-1 in the Pac-12, while Cal falls to 7-12 and 1-5 in the conference.
Arizona broke the game open in the second half with strong defense and solid offense. The Wildcats held Cal to only one 3-pointer for the game and without a field goal for nine minutes late in the second half. Arizona shot 62 percent from the floor and made 11-of-19 3-point attempts.
