The hot and patient bats Arizona (8-2) had in Thursday’s high-scoring win over Oklahoma carried over to the rematch, with the Wildcats knocking out 11 hits and drawing seven walks in a 12-1 win over the Sooners on Friday afternoon at the Frisco College Baseball Classic in Frisco, Texas.
It was the seventh straight win for the UA, but unlike the 20-13 win over the Sooners on Thursday this one didn’t require any sort of comeback. The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first thanks to a solo home run from Jacob Blas and a pair of bases loaded walks, and added two more in the second via a 2-run double by Ryan Holgate.
