On Monday, Arizona Wildcats linebacker commit Tristan Monday was named to the Butkus Award watch list for high schoolers.
The award is given annually to the best college and high school linebackers in the country.
The Scottsdale-Saguaro standout is the only Arizona native to make the list, and it’s well deserved. In two years, Monday has racked up 98 tackles, 44 tackles for loss, and 15.5 sacks in just 18 games. He is a natural pass rusher specialist, coming off the edge with a big burst and explosiveness. He will most likely play linebacker in Tucson.
