PULLMAN, Wash. – Given an entry into the Arizona Wildcats’ starting lineup last month via Chase Jeter’s back and productivity issues, Stone Gettings may never leave.
Not if this weekend was any indication, that is.
After the grad transfer forward from Cornell scored 13 points to help Arizona beat Washington on Thursday in Seattle, he led Arizona to a 66-49 win over Washington State by collecting season-highs in points (19) and rebounds (12) for his first double-double at Arizona.
The Wildcats also had 14 points, four rebounds and four assists from Nico Mannion, and 10 points and 10 rebounds from Zeke Nnaji while pulling off a weekend road sweep after going winless in four previous road games.
