It’s hard for Arizona Wildcats fans to stand out at the MGM Grand. It didn’t earn the moniker “McKale North” for no reason.
But Paul Harrison and Tom Wurr have found a way.
Since 2002, the two Tucsonans have traveled to Los Angeles and Las Vegas to watch the Wildcats play in the Pac-10 and Pac-12 Tournaments.
They always wear custom hats made out of basketballs.
This year, they upgraded. Harrison and Wurr walked into the MGM Grand Garden Arena sporting outfits made up of cut-up basketballs. The pebbled leather was glued to football shoulder pads and motocross vests; it also covered their arms.
