After he was briefly sidelined by tonsil surgery last month, freshman center Chance Comanche has rejoined the Arizona Wildcats for full preseason activities.
Which means things get really tough now.
While the Wildcats are over three weeks away from the beginning of full-length practices, it’s already clear that Comanche will either be facing a major battle for playing time inside.
Not only do the Wildcats have four proven, experienced big men — Kaleb Tarczewski, Dusan Ristic, Ryan Anderson and Mark Tollefsen — but Comanche has less than 200 pounds on his 6-foot-10-inch frame.
“The whole key with him is getting him bigger and stronger in the right way,” UA coach Sean Miller said last month.
