Former Arizona Basketball point guard Kobi Simmons, 22 years old, is officially an NBA player. The McDonald’s All-American signed a one-year NBA contract with the GM Mitch Kupchak who added the Wildcat to the training camp roster. The Hornets have only 13 guaranteed players under contract, so there is room for Simmons who will be competing for a position.
There is a good chance they will keep Simmons because of room on the roster, and he may still play with the Greensboro Swarm, the G-League Affiliate of the Hornets. Also, you never know what the season will bring with injuries and trades, but it is a good place to be in his third season playing professionally.
