The Arizona basketball program has found its successor for Sean Miller, who was fired last week after 12 seasons at the school.
According to several reports, the team is hiring Tommy Lloyd, who has been an assistant under Mark Few at Gonzaga since 2001-02.
Lloyd, 46, has become known for his recruiting of international talent at Gonzaga, landing players such as Kelly Olynyk and Ronny Turiaf.
Last week, spokesman.com's Jim Meehan detailed why Lloyd was such a hot name in coaching circles.
He wrote: "Lloyd, an assistant at Gonzaga for two decades, has been instrumental in the program’s emergence as a national power.
