The University of Arizona has fired coach Sean Miller a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.
Miller's contract hadn't been extended since 2017, when the FBI announced its investigation into college basketball, of which Arizona played a prominent part.
The Wildcats went 17-9 overall and 11-9 this season, but were not eligible for the Pac-12 or NCAA tournaments due to a self-imposed ban this season.
Miller had one year remaining on his contract.
Stadium's Jeff Goodman first reported the news.
He reported that Miller met with Arizona president Robert Robbins and athletic director Dave Heeke on Tuesday night, but didn't come to a conclusion.
