Sean Miller and the USA Basketball U-19 team coaching staff made their first round of cuts, and Arizona's Allonzo Trier is one of the 16 finalists for the 12-man roster.
One of the five players cut was Arizona 2016 commit T.J. Leaf. He along with Malik Pope, Silas Melson, Eric Paschall and Seventh Woods were all sent home.
Sean Miller had some perspective last night on the moves: "The guys who get cut will have a pretty good chance to make an NBA team someday."
