Logan Cook | The Daily Wildcat Arizona's pitcher Cody Deason throws a pitch from the mound.
Despite pitcher Cody Deason struggling on the mound, the Arizona Wildcats baseball team shutout Bryant University on Saturday, Feb. 17 to start their season 1-0.
The season opener was supposed to be on Friday night, but mother nature had other plans. Rain continued to drizzle down on Hi Corbett Field all Friday afternoon and eventually the game had to be cancelled and rescheduled for the next day. The change may have affected starting pitcher Cody Deason who gave up two hits and a walk in the first inning and might not have been as comfortable as he had hoped for early on.
