After losing the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader to Oregon State, 15-3, Arizona dropped the series finale 9-3 as the second-ranked Beavers completed the sweep.
UA lefty Andrew Nardi took the loss, pitching five innings, allowing five runs (all earned) on seven hits and four walks.
He initially struggled to begin the game, hitting the first batter and allowing three runs courtesy of RBI singles from Troy Claunch and Eliot Wiley. A sacrifice fly in the second gave the Beavers a 4-1 lead.
Nardi surrendered a homer and single as the only other baserunners for the rest of his start.
