It’s no secret that the 2019 Arizona Baseball season was a bit of a rough one. Despite entering the year with plenty of hype, the Wildcats ultimately came up short again in their big to make the college postseason.
Boiled down to the Wildcats’ struggles, was their pitching woes. Despite the team being third overall in total runs scored, and having one of the best offenses in the nation, where Arizona fell short was in their pitching.
This last season, the Wildcats ranked 249th overall in Earned Run Average. Things were so rocky in Tucson, that Arizona had just one pitcher with an ERA under 4.
