Arizona Baseball had a particularly tough week in Southern California, as the Wildcats drop the final game in the three-game series to the Trojans.
The team has finally come back to Earth. Riding high from winning eight of their last nine games (including six straight), the Wildcats seemed to have lost some of their magic this weekend in LA. In the opening game of the series, Arizona used a little bit of late-game drama, scoring five runs in the final two innings, to defeat the Trojans.
Some of that magic almost carried into Friday as well, as the Wildcats scored two runs in the ninth, but unfortunately saw their rally come up short, dropping the second game 8-5.
