Coach Lopez led Arizona to a 459-300-1 record (174-165 in conference) during his tenure, which stretched from 2002 to today. During the fourteen years he led Arizona baseball, the Wildcats made the NCAA tournament eight times, made the College World Series twice, and won a national championship.

Prior to coming to Arizona, Lopez was the head coach at Pepperdine (where he won a national championship in 1992) and Florida.
