Jim Furyk broke through on the PGA Tour 18 years ago with a win at the U.S. Open.
That victory would turn out to be Furyk’s only major championship as a professional golfer until Sunday, when the 51-year old won the U.S. Senior Open.
The Arizona alum becomes the 8th player all-time to win both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Senior Open.
Furyk battled through heat, humidity and a lengthy storm delay to win the tournament, played at Omaha (Neb.) Country Club.
Furyk shot 7-under-par across four rounds, including a 6-under 64 for Round 2.
