Arizona softball completed a doubleheader sweep of Oregon State in dominant fashion, run-ruling the Beavers 10-2 in five innings on Saturday afternoon at Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.
As it did in the 9-5 win over OSU (13-10, 2-3) earlier in the day, Arizona (17-5, 2-2) fell behind early before coming alive. The UA trailed 2-0 after the top of the first inning after being down 5-0 in the first game.
The long ball got things started for the Wildcats, with Alyssa Palomino blasting a solo home run in the third. Palomino’s 2-out triple in the fourth sparked a 4-run rally that saw Dejah Mulipola, Jessie Harper and Sharlize Palacios homer back-to-back-to-back to make it 6-2.
