Draft night came and went, but the former Wildcat and McDonald’s All-American didn’t hear his name called. Instead, Allonzo Trier used that as motivation to prove everyone wrong.
He would have a difficult road ahead of him, but if anyone was best suited for overcoming adversity, it was Trier.
As you may recall, Trier had to overcome an injury in 2015-16, his freshman season, then his sophomore year, the dynamic scorer missed nearly half the season due to an ongoing saga with “substance abuse”, testing positive to a banned substance.
