Allonzo Trier has agreed to a two-year deal with the New York Knicks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The contract is worth $6.9 million, a nice pay day for the former Arizona Wildcat.
Couple of other notes on Trier:
* Will receive the full $3.38M. Exceptions do not begin to prorate until Jan. 10.
* Salary this season is comparable to a summer FA signing for $5M.
* Trier will be a RFA (non-bird) if the Knicks decline his team option.— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) December 13, 2018Trier was previously on a two-way contract with the Knicks, which only permitted him to spend up to 45 days in the NBA this season, a limit he was quickly approaching.
