Former Arizona Wildcats standout and current Atlanta Dream guard Aari McDonald was named to the Associated Press WNBA All-Rookie Team on Wednesday.
The former No. 3 overall pick averaged 6.3 points, 2.0 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 16.4 minutes per game. McDonald shot 32.2 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from 3 and 88.2 percent from the free throw line.
Marred by several management and coaching changes, the Dream went 8-24, the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference.
McDonald appeared in 30 games and started in four of them. She will now head to Hungary to play overseas for Uni Gyor.
