The Arizona Wildcats are one of eight finalists for four-star guard Boogie Ellis, he announced Tuesday on Twitter.
The other seven schools in the mix are Oregon, Gonzaga, USC, Memphis, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, and San Diego State.
Ellis is the No. 81 player in the 2019 class and No. 6 point guard, per 247Sports composite rankings. The San Diego native is listed as the No. 9 player in California.
“A 6-foot-2 guard with a wiry frame, Ellis is an impressive and versatile scorer,” wrote Evan Daniels of 247Sports. “His long-range shooting is a weapon, but he also creates shot opportunities off the bounce, scores off runners and is comfortable shooting on the move.
