After running on a heater the last few weeks in recruiting, the Arizona Wildcats have ran into a major problem as their highest ranked prospect, Robert Wooten, announced his decision to decommit from the program on Tuesday.
A 6-foot-3, 240 pound defensive end, Wooten is the No. 568 player in the country and a top-20 defensive end, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
“This is a life-changing decision that I feel I need to take more time on,” he wrote on Twitter.
Wooten has taken official visits to Missouri, SMU and Texas Tech, and also holds offers to Arizona State, Arkansas, Utah, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, among others.
