Wide receiver Devin Lucien could have played his entire college football career at Arizona State.
He made his campus visit at the same time as quarterback Mike Bercovici when both were 17 and friends playing for different southern California high schools.
"He was pleading with me to come here," said Lucien, who in his early days at Crespi Carmelite High School also was a recruiting target for now ASU deputy head coach Mike Norvell when Norvell was at Tulsa and Pittsburgh.
Bercovici committed to ASU in June 2010. ASU, Miami and California were in the running for Lucien all the way to signing day in February 2011 when he finally chose UCLA.
