It came down to the final court, but No. 24 Arizona State (4-1) came out with the win on Saturday. Ilze Hattingh had to go the distance in her singles match and eventually pulled through to put the Sun Devils on top 4-3 over Oklahoma (3-2).
Despite Hattingh and Lauryn John-Baptiste falling in their doubles match, Tereza Kolarova/Giulia Morlet (6-2) and Sammi Hampton/Marianna Argyrokastriti (6-4) netted the doubles point for the Sun Devils.
Hampton took home another singles point for ASU after her opponent Martina Capurro abandoned her match. Argyrokastriti swept her match to help get the Sun Devils to the game-cliniching four points needed.
