Following a tough weekend in the Bay Area, Arizona State women’s tennis (10-5) returned home and took care of business on Wednesday. The 31st-ranked Sun Devils beat New Mexico State (3-7) 7-0 at Whitman Tennis Center.
Sammi Hampton and Marianna Argyrokastriti couldn’t have started the day better after a 6-0 win in their doubles match. The Sun Devils clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory from Domenika Turkovic and Tereza Kolarova.
The Aggies forfeited court six, giving Arizona State a two-point advantage. It didn’t really matter as each Sun Devil won their match and did it in two sets.
