WACO, Texas – In their first appearance in the Big 12 Tournament Sun Devil Women's Tennis (14-8) advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-1 victory over Colorado (9-13) Thursday afternoon at Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. Arizona State will face the No. 3 seed Oklahoma State tomorrow at 7 a.m. AZT.
The match can be watched on ESPN+ and tracked on live stats courtesy of StatBroadcast. Earlier this season the Cowgirls defeated the Sun Devils 4-1 as Aiya Nupbay won the sole point for the team in singles play.
The Sun Devils opened the match with a statement by winning the doubles point thanks to Emilija Tverijonaite and Aiya Nupbay securing the 6-3 win from the third position.
