What freshman Kimani Lawrence should bring to No. 4 ASU basketball

The Top 100 freshman from Rhode Island was good to play last week at Arizona, but Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley thought it best for Kimani Lawrence to wait just a few more days. Since suffering a stress fracture in his left foot the day before the season opener, Lawrence had participated full-go in just two practices.

But entering Thursday’s Pac-12 contest at Colorado – the first leg of the difficult Rocky Mountain trip – Hurley has no reservations. A 6-foot-7 forward, Lawrence will be a part of ASU’s rotation, giving the Sun Devils more length, depth and physicality.
