It was a little bit surprising when Arizona State forward Romello White declared for the NBA draft last month.
It was even more surprising when White decided this week to put his name in the NCAA transfer portal. The latter move seems to indicate he got the feedback he needed and plans on returning to school rather than stay in the draft. But what school?
White played three years at ASU, starting more games — 92 — than any other player in the program during that stretch. Before he played his first game, he had a season in which he focused on academics, which means White will be eligible to play immediately as a grad transfer.
