OMAHA, Neb. – The No. 12 Arizona State ice hockey team (13-12-2, 13-8-1 NCHC) finishes its regular season schedule at Omaha (16-13-1, 12-7-1 NCHC) with a long-term purpose in mind: securing home ice for the NCHC quarterfinal playoff round in two weeks. Puck drop for both Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 is set for 7 p.m. CT and 6 p.m. MST.
With three points this weekend, the Sun Devils clinch home ice for the best-of-three series on March 14-16. The quarterfinal round determines which four NCHC teams compete for the Frozen Faceoff trophy at Xcel Energy Center on March 21-22.
