LOS ANGELES, CALIF.-- Sun Devil water polo finished third in the NCAA Championship Tournament after a 10-4 loss to USC on Saturday. This is the highest placing in the NCAA Tournament in program history, and the season will go down in the all-time record books.
Head Coach Todd Clapper is proud of his squad and praised the team's perseverance throughout the year, "it's been a great season for us, so this loss doesn't take away from that."
The Sun Devils scored in the opening possession of the game, and managed to hold the Trojans to just two goals in the first period.
