Utah women’s basketball hit 11 3-pointers Sunday to knock off No. 21 Arizona State, 75-71, in Salt Lake City.
The Utes were 0-of-4 from 3-point in the first quarter then went 11-of-17 over the final three, ending ASU’s three-game win streak.
ASU (19-9, 9-7 Pac-12) led 25-16 at the end of the first quarter and 42-35 at halftime. Utah had a big third quarter (25-16) to lead 61-57, and the Sun Devils could get no closer than two points in the fourth.
ASU senior guard Reili Richardson made her first five 3-pointers but didn’t hit another until the game’s final shot, finishing 6-of-12 from long range for 22 points.
