Utah exposes short-handed ASU women's basketball in win

What Arizona State women's basketball covered up Friday against Colorado, Utah exposed Sunday in a 65-51 win.

The Utes shot ASU out of a zone defense that held Colorado under 50 points and took advantage of the Sun Devils missing three core players due to COVID protocol, building as much as a 24-point lead in the second half at Desert Financial Arena.

"We found a way to win Friday, but our short-handedness showed up," ASU coach Charli Turner Thorne said. "We're not a team that plays six or seven. Everybody had to sit for a week and a half (due to COVID).
