TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State University Alumni Association and the Sun Devil Club will celebrate the 1975 Sun Devil football team and its perfect, and undefeated, season at the Legends Luncheon on Nov. 13.
The 1975 team, following its dramatic 17-14 victory over Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl, became the highest-ranked ASU team in school history during a “perfect” 12-0 season. It came in the middle of the university’s dominance of the Western Athletic Conference under the leadership of ASU head coach Frank Kush.
In addition to honoring the players and coaches associated with the 1975 team, the event also will honor Sun Devil linebacker Bob Breunig, who recently became the 10th Sun Devil to be selected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
