Tempe, Ariz. – Sophomore Emilija Tverijonaite is headed to Waco, Texas for the NCAA Singles Championship beginning Tuesday. Tverijonaite is ranked No. 52 in the preseason ITA rankings and will face Virginia's Elaine Chevinsky in the round of 64.
The singles and doubles championships are held separately from the spring team championships in the first of two years in a pilot program. The championships will be streamed on ESPN+ with commentary courtesy of Cracked Racquets.
This fall, Tverijonaite boasts a 12-1 record and became the first Sun Devil to qualify for the singles tournament since Ilze Hattingh in 2021.
