Waco, Texas. – In the round of 64 at the NCAA Singles Championships, Emilija Tverijonaite's fall season came to an end Tuesday afternoon in Waco, Texas after falling in straight sets 5-7, 2-6 against Virginia Elaine Chervinsky.
Tverijonaite became the first Sun Devil singles qualifier to make the NCAA singles tournament since Ilze Hattingh qualified in 2021, making the round of 32. The Sophomore went 12-2 this fall and went undefeated in three-set matches going 3-0.
The Lithuanian also won a singles title at the USTA Intercollegiate championships in San Diego in September and qualified for the singles championships at the ITA Southwest Championships with a third-place finish.
