Aashari Crosswell is used to having to work his way up a depth chart.
In high school, he transferred from Hawkins in Los Angeles to tradition-laden Long Beach Poly as a senior, so he had to prove himself against more experienced players already there.
This year, as a true freshman safety at ASU, he had to do the same thing. Three games into the season Crosswell earned a starting spot and he has continued to excel.
The 6-foot-1, 193-pounder is among the two dozen or so Sun Devil players who will be returning home this weekend as ASU (3-4, 1-3) treks to Los Angeles for the annual Pac-12 South showdown against USC (4-3, 3-2) at the Coliseum.
