Arizona State is parting ways with baseball coach Tracy Smith after seven seasons in which the team did not advance past the NCAA Tournament regional stage.
Smith was 202-155 overall in his ASU tenure since 2015 when he was hired from Indiana to replace Tim Esmay.
Ray Anderson, ASU Vice President for Athletics, said in a statement Monday:
"After speaking with Tracy Smith this afternoon, we have decided by mutual agreement that coach Smith will not return as the head coach for Sun Devil baseball next season.
"Decisions like this are never easy to make, but I want to thank Tracy for his efforts over the last seven years.
