TEMPE, Ariz.—Seven members of the Arizona State track and field teams earned All-America recognition in eight events, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced this week.
Leading the way for ASU was senior Shelby Houlihan, who ran a pair of personal bests for First-Team honors in the 1500m and 5000m races. In her school-record setting performance in the 1500m, Houlihan finished as the NCAA runner-up with a time of 4:09.67, breaking the previous record, which she set in 2014.
Houlihan followed that performance with a seventh-place finish in the 5000m at 15:49.
