LAS VEGAS – After one full day of competition at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, three Arizona State wrestlers are still alive in the championship round, with four more wrestling in the consolation rounds on Saturday.
At 174, Zahid Valencia will next wrestle UNI's Lujan in the semifinals while Josh Shields will re-match Ohio State's Micah Jordan at 157 lbs after facing in the dual match in Columbus earlier this season. All-American Tanner Hall next faces Duke's Jacob Kasper in the semis.
Ryan Millhof (125), Ali Naser (133), Josh Maruca (149), and Anthony Valencia (165) remain alive in the consolation round of 8 in their respective weight classes.
