On Monday morning, Arizona State basketball coach Bobby Hurley spent several hours in a doctor’s office. Wednesday night, his team improved to 6-0 with a victory over Nebraska Omaha. Both events portend well for the Sun Devils this season.
ASU’s athleticism and versatility were impressive Wednesday, which was ironic given they were playing without two starters, guards Remy Martin and Rob Edwards, and a key reserve, Mickey Mitchell.
The good news for the Sun Devils is the remaining players compensated for the absences almost seamlessly, providing additional proof this is the deepest, most talented team ASU has had since the early 1980s.
